Employers who are hiring highly skilled migrants per January or need to extend employment contracts should comply with the gross monthly salaries as determined per January 1, 2016.
In stead of a gross annual salary, it is since March 2015 mandatory to meet the gross monthly salary requirement. The salary should also be paid monthly into a bank account of the highly skilled migrant. Additional fixed allowances like 13th month payment cannot be included unless they are paid to the highly skilled migrant on a monthly base.
The following gross monthly salaries apply as of January 1, 2016:- Highly skilled migrant 30 years and older: EUR 4,240 (excluding 8% holiday allowance)
- Highly skilled migrant younger than 30 years: EUR 3,108 (excluding 8% holiday allowance)
- Dutch graduates qualifying for orientation year: EUR 2,228 (excluding 8% holiday allowance)
